26th Annual Flagstaff Trash Bash Report

We want to thank Open Space and Mountain Parks and Boulder Climbing Community for coming out and helping put the 26th annual Flagstaff Trash Bash together.

A huge thanks to Nick and Casey for managing the volunteers and Armand from Open Space and Mountain Parks who filled us in on a successful raptor nesting season, Shannon Forsman with Boulder Climbing Community for saying a few words about BCC’s vital role in managing climbing impacts in the region, and guidebook author Simon Testa for his excellent presentation on scrambling in the Flatirons. And of course much gratitude to Scott Rennak for wrangling the AV perfectly.

We had a wonderful dinner provided by Sherpas with hardly any leftovers!

Finally we want to thank all the sponsors and donors who contributed items to our raffle and online auction. All the proceeds from our fundraising go directly to fixed anchor installation, maintenance, and replacement, wag bag station refills, and public events like this.

Thanks again to everyone who came by to clean up the mountain!
