The process for replacement of existing, unsafe fixed hardware is managed by Open Space and Mountain Parks, not the FCC. To submit an application, either stop by the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage at Chautauqua Park and pick up a Notification for Bolt Replacement Form or download here as an MS-Word Doc or PDF.  You can also go to the Open Space and Mountain Parks website, download the form and email it in. Turnaround on applications is typically very quick, generally same day.

NOTE: There is currently an effort underway to catalog the routes with old hardware that need replacement. If you know of a route with substandard or just old hardware that needs replacement, email us at climb@earthnet.net.
